Hi, I’m Adriana.
I’m psychotherapist with years of experience in providing affirming, effective therapy for couples and individuals throughout California.
My work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Humanistic and Existential approaches, and the Gottman Method. I am inspired by the family systems thinking of Virginia Satir, David Schnarch, and Harry Aponte. In the room, that looks like naming the patterns underneath a conflict instead of leaving them unspoken, and reaching for a concrete tool just as often as I sit with you in a harder, unresolved feeling. Struggling with intimacy, shame, or identity doesn't mean something is wrong with you; more likely, you were handed certain stories before you ever had a say, and part of the work is deciding which ones you keep going forward. Clients tend to describe our sessions as direct and grounded, with enough structure to feel purposeful and enough space to let something harder surface when it needs to.
I am trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+-affirming, kink-aware, non-monogamy-informed, sex-work-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, weight-inclusive per Health at Every Size (HAES), and committed to anti-racist practice. Suffice to say, my goal is to create a space that doesn't make you feel like you need to leave parts of yourself at the door to enter it.
